Pride Weekend can be a challenge for folks with Eating Disorders, issues around gender, sexuality, and bodies. Please take care of yourself this weekend. Nourish yourself with what you need. Remember to drink water, to rest when you need to, to practice self-compassion, and to take moments for self-care when needed.
If you are feeling moments of loneliness, disconnection, fear, or overwhelmed, remember that you are surrounded by a community on a weekend that is filled with love. Find the PFLAG booth and reach out for support. Ask for a hug if you need it. They will give you all the love and support you could imagine on a weekend like this.
Take good care of yourself whether it’s the Trans March, the Dyke March, or Pride Day. You are worthy and deserving of being there. You are worthy and deserving of love. And most importantly, you are not alone.
Take good care of yourself, and remember to nourish your body, mind, and spirit.
